SMC Policies and Waiver


General Policies


Here at SMC we pride ourselves on fostering a safe and fun community for everyone.  Violent behaviour, the use of profanity and inappropriate physical contact will not be tolerated.  

SMC staff reserve the right to remove a participant for unwanted behaviour especially when it affects the safety and enjoyment of other patrons.


RECEIPT Requests

Serratus Movement Centre communicates paperlessly, and all correspondence including receipts of payment are sent electronically to the email address on file.  It is the responsibility of the client to provide a valid email address and to ensure payment receipts have been received in a timely manner.  Clients have 90 days from time of purchase to request receipts be resent.  Beyond 90 days, Serratus Movement Centre reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of $25 to send past receipts.


Minimum Purchase Amount on Stored Card Transactions

Serratus Movement Centre Inc. requires a minimum purchase amount of $10 on all stored credit card transactions.

Pinja Cancellations and studio training


Birthday Party cancellation policies

To secure a birthday party booking, a $50-100 deposit is required. Until the deposit is received (either in person or via credit card over the phone), the requested time slot is open to be booked by the first person to put down a deposit. Upon booking, you will be asked if you require one or two instructors. We require 7 days minimum of changes either way (i.e. booked 2 instructors, and only need one) otherwise you will be charged the full amount.

Deposit is forfeited if birthday party is cancelled less than 7 days prior to date booked. If cancelled with more than 7 days notice, deposit can be moved to another day or will be put onto SMC account.


Full Facility Rental Cancellation

Parkour/Ninja Warrior CANCELLATION Policies

For session based programming, refunds can be requested MORE THAN 7 days before the first class. Full refunds will be issued as SMC Account Credit. For refunds made to the original payment method, a $25 administration fee will be subtracted.

With 7 days or less before the first class or once classes have started, refunds will only be given on SMC account less $25 administration fee.

For Full Year Band Level programs, early withdrawal from the program will result in a penalty of one complete month's fees (i.e. you forfeit the monthly payment for the current month as well as one additional month).

FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM FYBL BETWEEN MARCH 15 and JUNE 30, 2025: all remaining payments will continue to be charged monthly, as per the original payment schedule and NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Switching from one class to another can be done without penalty (assuming space is available) within the first 14 days of a session. Drop ins are not available for session based programs.

Late registration for classes can be done within the first 14 days of a session, assuming there is space available in the class requested. No proration or make up classes will be granted for classes missed.

Withdrawal from session based programs can be done no later than the end of the second class. Refunds will be issued for the remaining classes, less a $25 admin fee, in the form of an SMC credit.  Withdrawals from session based programs beyond the end of the second class do not qualify for a refund of any kind.

FYBL Tiered Rates – Membership Policy Update

Please note the following policies regarding FYBL tiered memberships and payment plans:

  1. Early Withdrawal
    Standard membership rules remain in effect. Members who choose to withdraw early will forfeit one full month’s fees, in accordance with our existing terms.

  2. FYBL Program Commitment
    As of
    March 1, members are no longer permitted to withdraw from the FYBL program. All participants are required to continue making payments according to their original payment plan.

  3. Tier Changes

    • Tier Down Requests (e.g., from Tier 2 to Tier 1):
      Members may request to move to a lower tier with a minimum of
      30 days’ notice. No penalties will apply.

    • Tier Up Requests (e.g., from Tier 1 to Tier 2 or 3):
      Members may upgrade their tier at any time. However, the current pricing structure is only guaranteed until September 1.

Booking/Cancelling Individual, Partner, Small or Large Group Training Parkour & Ninja Warrior Sessions

We require that payment to be made in full when booking training sessions. Sessions can be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours notice at no cost to the client. Sessions missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $25 late cancellation fee. The $25 fee must be paid in full prior to booking/attending future appointments.

Please note: When either personal training, individual Pinja, or any other package of individual sessions are purchased, no refunds will be offered for unused sessions. The discounted price per session is based on the entire package price.

Serratus Movement Centre reserves the right to change class coaches as scheduling needs change.  Only those who do Individual Training can be guaranteed to work with the coach of their choice.


Day Camp Cancellation Policy

For all camps (single and multiple day) refunds will be given with 7+ days notice before the beginning of the camp. Refunds will be given either a) via cheque less a $25 administration fee or b) on to SMC account for the full amount.

Within 7 days before the beginning of the camp, refunds will only be given on SMC account less $25 administration fee.

Once camp has started your full fee will be forfeited and no refunds will be given at that point.


Open Gym

Open Gym registrations will be kept on account if notice of cancellation is made 24 hours or more before the start of Open Gym. Registration fees will be forfeited if notice of a cancellation is provided within 24 hours of the start of Open Gym.

Pre-paid registration including drop ins and 10 packs are valid for 12 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Unlimited Open Training Membership Policies

Minimum Commitment

  • All memberships require a 3-month minimum. If you cancel earlier, you are still responsible for the remaining 2 payments for that period.

Membership Term & Renewal

  • Memberships default to a 1-year term and renew automatically each year.

  • To stop renewal, you must cancel in writing before your current term ends.

Cancellation Notice

  • Provide at least 30 days’ written notice before your payment date or renewal date.

  • Cancellation is only valid once you receive confirmation from us.

Payments & Refunds

  • All dues owed before the cancellation effective date must be paid.

  • Payments already made are non-refundable.

Policy Updates

  • We may update these terms with 30 days’ notice.

If your scheduling conflict is known in advance and we are notified at least 24 hours ahead of time, it MAY be possible to make the session up at a later date or with a different trainer. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Any sessions missed with less than 24 hours notification are forfeited.
If you have not already paid for the session, your account/card will be charged for the full amount of the session.If no card/account information is present, no further sessions will be conducted until the outstanding payment is received.

Additionally, reserved time slots may be lost if payment is not made in a timely manner.

Partner and Group Training

If your scheduling conflict is known in advance and we are notified at least 24 hours ahead of time, it MAY be possible to make the session up at a later date or with a different group. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Any classes missed without 24 hours notification are forfeited.
