We believe in keeping Winnipeggers moving at their optimum. Sometimes injuries, surgeries, or just pain tries to slow us down, but we are here to get you back to peak performance as quick and safely as possible.

Our physiotherapists will conduct a thorough physical examination after an in-depth history to determine what may be causing your symptoms and to help direct you so that your goals can be achieved.

Treatment will always include education on the nature of your injury, with anatomical and biomechanical explanations so you can understand what is happening. You will be given a home program to help maintain what has been gained within a treatment session. Treatment may also include soft tissue mobilization and release techniques, joint mobilization or manipulation, stretching and exercises to help increase strength, stability, flexibility or balance. Acupuncture may also be an adjunct to treatment used to help facilitate healing. All this is offered to help direct and progress you towards full and pain free function.

Athletic Therapy

Our Athletic Therapist(s) work with our clients to figure out the best way to fix a problem (e.g., musculoskeletal injuries, concussions, muscle imbalances, etc.).

They do this by first taking a thorough history of the issue and going through a comprehensive physical assessment of an injury. Afterwards the Athletic Therapy treatment will revolve around the 10 components of injury rehabilitation in order to streamline the most effective path to recovery. Types of treatment will be individualized to the specific goals of the client whether it be returning to sports, work, or just healthy living. We do this through the use of therapuetic modalities (cupping, thermotherapy, massage, etc.) and a personalized injury rehabilitation exercise program that includes strength, flexibility and balance training.

  • Has been involved with sports for 15+ years (Karate, rugby, powerlifting, etc) and is still competing.

  • Works with clients ranging from children, office workers, and national level athletes

  • Able to create different types of injury related home programs (e.g. prevention, rehabilitation, reconditioning)

  • 5+ years of post secondary education, and still continues to learn every day

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology (Athletic Therapy), is a Certified Athletic Therapist, and a Registered Massage Therapist.
